7yo chestnut TB gelding by Rogano from Rue De Marengo. 

Approximately 16h.

Retired from racing June 2025 after winning approximately $370,000k.

Goldy injured his sesamoid racing, and has been fully rehabbed and given the time to heal, he has had vet clearance to begin work again and vet report states there is no reason he cannot have a successful riding career away from the track.

Goldie’s owners have sent him to me to find a home. 

Goldie is a very sensitive horse and needs a human who is willing to take some time with him on the ground first to gain his confidence. He could do with a spell in a nice green paddock as he has spent his last 5months post racing in Ascot. 

I have done some groundwork with Goldie, started lunging  and have ridden him on the arena, he has a nice soft mouth and is willing and appears to be a safe enough ride. 

However I believe he needs time on the ground with someone keen to gain his trust  and desensitise him. 

A nice project for someone experienced as he will make a beautiful horse in the right hands.

Goldie wants to be your friend he just needs to learn the world outside of Ascot is ok! 

Note- Goldie is quite head shy and touchy to handle so an experienced kind and calm person is what he needs!
