Moddy is a true gentle giant in every sense of the word. After retiring from the track, he's enjoyed a long, let-down. Most recently, Moddy had 9 months spelling while I was pregnant, and he has now been carefully and thoughtfully brought back into work. He has taken everything in his stride, showing the same quiet willingness and soft attitude that make him such a pleasure to have around. He has been out on bush trails, both alone and in company, and is currently doing arena work, happily rebuilding his strength and confidence. Moddy isn't rushed, reactive, or sharp — he's the sort that meets you at the gate, listens, and genuinely tries to please. This is a horse with a big heart, a kind eye, and a soul that just wants to connect with his person. He's been much loved and handled with care, and that shows in the way he is today. Moddy will be sold with all his gear and tack, ready for his next chapter with someone who will appreciate his gentle nature and give him the time he deserves. Moddy also has a leasee who's been riding him who would love to follow him where he goes for her 1-2 riding a week.
